About the Founder

Christian Gant-Madison founded Change the Narrative 333 after growing up in West Philadelphia, where he witnessed the deep-rooted pain his community faced due to structural violence and decades of disinvestment. He recognized not only the material challenges but also the harmful narratives that stigmatize people from communities like his. Christian’s journey, from an under-resourced neighborhood to becoming an Ivy League student-athlete, is a testament to the power of equitable access to opportunity. His lived experience fuels his belief that when people are given the right resources, they can heal, reclaim their stories, and forge their own paths to success.

Christian was also deeply affected by the loss of childhood friends to gun violence and the emotional weight of navigating systems that often fail those most in need. He became acutely aware of how fragmented and inaccessible many social support services are, especially in urban communities. This inspired his vision for a centralized, holistic approach to connecting people with critical support.

Beyond addressing immediate needs, Christian was driven by a deeper conviction: that lasting change requires shifting narratives around violence, trauma, and recovery. This belief in the power of storytelling, healing, and reimagining how systems serve communities became a cornerstone of the organization’s mission.

Today, through a blend of personal experience, bold leadership, and a deep commitment to justice, Christian guides Change the Narrative 333 in its mission to bridge resource gaps, empower individuals, foster community healing, and ultimately break cycles of violence and inequity.

The number "333" holds special significance in our organization's name and philosophy. In numerology, 333 is often associated with encouragement, divine guidance, and self restoration. We believe that by partaking in our services community members are engaging in a profound form of self restoration. For our founder, 333 also represents:
